Corrie Goes to Kenya - on ITVplayer

If you didn't see part one of the documentary, Corrie Goes to Kenya, it's on itvPlayer. Lauren's dad, Damon, made several trips to Kenya to volunteer for SAFE after he saw a short documentary film about their work.

SAFE is a Kenyan NGO and UK charity that uses street theatre and community programmes to educate, inspire and deliver social change. They work on HIV/AIDS, violence, female circumcision, safe water and the environment, and Damon went over there to write plays for their community theatre.

He returned earlier this year with four actors from Coronation Street (Sue Cleaver, Ben Price, Ryan Thomas and Brooke Vincent) to work with the Kenyan actors in SAFE to put on a play about the dangers of HIV. Part one of the documentary was shown on ITV on 17th August. The second part will be on ITV on 24th August at 9pm.
